I just saw the newly redesigned Murder She Writes site — it’s clean, sleek, and I love it. I can’t wait to launch it … but it won’t be until next week. But I have a FANTASTIC guest coming tomorrow, Julie Kramer, so you definitely want to visit! Fall and winter are always great movie seasons. I have yet to see SAVING MR BANKS and THE HOBBIT, but both of them are on my to-see list in the coming week or two. However, I was completely thrilled with the last two movies I saw.


Christmas Movie Releases

Is it just me or is there a plethora of fabulous movies this holiday season? Not just over the Christmas break, but the entire Fall schedule has been pretty good. I saw the latest Bond adventure, SKYFALL, over Thanksgiving break and it was terrific — I really like Daniel Craig in the Bond role after a couple less stellar actors. I took my 16 year old daughter and 11 year old son to SKYFALL, neither of whom had seen a Bond movie before, and they both enjoyed it. Score! I have a confession. I love television more than the movies. I never knew why until I started writing this blog tonight and realized that I also love reading a book series more than a stand alone. Sure, on occasion there is an amazing movie that transcends the plethora of so-so productions. THE DEPARTED, for example. Or INCEPTION. Or CASABLANCA, NORTH BY NORTHWEST, THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, and THE SIXTH SENSE.
