A character-driven thriller series about a family who’ve spent their lives in public service but become disillusioned with the system when the patriarch, a physician who spent his career working for the Veterans Administration, is convicted of murder. Fueled by the belief that the criminal justice system failed their father, they set out to correct the investigative malfeasance they feel put him in jail—and, in the process, wind up creating a PI firm whose purpose is to help those who aren’t being protected through traditional means; and who are willing to bend the rules to accomplish this. They’re not vigilantes, but they’re not squeamish about working outside the system when necessary.
