Six More Books

on March 15, 2007

I’m thrilled to announce that I sold six books to Ballantine.

The first three are a trilogy similar to what I’ve been writing. They won’t be published back-to-back, but it looks like they’ll be published close together in 2008. I’m calling it my Prison Break trilogy–the premise? An earthquake under San Quentin facilitates the escape of several death row inmates.

The first book of the trilogy, which should be out in spring of 08, has Detective Will Hooper (Carina’s partner from SPEAK NO EVIL) as the hero. I’ve just started to piece together the story and with Karin’s brainstorming help earlier this week, I think I know who the heroine is. I haven’t met her yet, so the jury’s still out as to whether it’s going to fly. But I’m optimistic. It feels right.

The second three books is actually not a trilogy, but the beginning of a series–a team of elite FBI agents, the best of the best, is created to solve high-profile crimes. Sort of a CRIMINAL MINDS meets CSI. But different. I’m hoping to create that kind of teamwork, but with more conflict.

To say I’m excited is an understatement! I can’t wait to get started.

So to celebrate my new book contracts, I’m giving away books. Why not? Someone lucky winner will receive an EARLY copy of FEAR NO EVIL. All you have to do is comment between now and next Thursday (3/22). One “comment” a day will be counted, up to five entries. I’ll announce the winner midnight Thursday 3/22 pacific time. AND even better, that winner gets to pick THREE FRIENDS to send a signed copy of one of my backlist titles. Introduce someone to Allison Brennan!

Until next week . . .
